H1 histamine receptor antagonist; competes for H1-receptor sites in target cells in the respiratory tract, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract.
Sedative first generation
| instructions | Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Shake well before uses The average doses: Children of 12 to 23 months: give 2.5 ml up to 2 times in 24 hours, if you need to. Children of 2 to 5 years: give 2.5 ml up to 6 times in 24 hours, if you need to. Children of 6 to 11 years: give 5 ml up to 6 times in 24 hours, if you need to. Children of 12 years and over, and adults: 10ml up to 6 times in 24 hours, if you need to. Don't give more often than every 4 to 6 hours. Do not give to children under 1 year. Do not give more than the amount recommended above. If symptoms do not go away within 5 days talk to your pharmacist or doctor. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. |
