DULCOLAX 5 MG TAB 40'S
Bisacodyl works by stimulating enteric neurons to cause peristalsis, i.e., colonic contractions. It is also a contact laxative; it increases fluid and salt secretion.
instructions | dults and children over 10 years old: Take one or two tablets (5 to 10 mg) daily before bedtime. If you have not taken Bisacodyl 5mg Gastro-resistant Tablets before, start with one tablet and increase to two if necessary. When your bowel regularity has returned to normal, the dose can usually be stopped. Children aged between 4 and 10 years: Bisacodyl 5mg Tablets should only be given to children between the ages of 4 and 10 if recommended by a doctor. The usual dose for children is: one tablet (5 mg) daily before bedtime. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
