Peppermint oil is an antispasmodic that is used for the relief of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) signs like, painful cramps and bloating that happen in your bowel between the navel, the groin and the sides.
Peppermint oil acts by relaxing the spasm occurring in your bowel which helps in reducing the pain and pushes the pockets of gas to pass along your bowel and out of the body and thus decreases bloating.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome signs and symptoms may be more apparent when you are anxious and stressed.
| instructions | Adults and children 15 years and over Recommended dose is one capsule orally three times a day. If signs are severe, you may take 2 capsules orally three times a day. Children under 15 years Use of this medicine is not recommended for children under 15 years old. Do not take the capsule right after food. Do not eat for around 30 to 60 minutes after taking your medicine. Swallow capsule with a small quantity of water. Do not crush or chew the capsule. Make sure to take this medicine until your symptoms have stopped (1 to 2 weeks). Make sure not to take this medicine with other indigestion medicines (they may cause damage to the capsule). This medicine is made of hard gelatin capsules which could break. Therefore, make sure to push out the capsule from the blister pocket by pressing on the end of it with slight pressure. |
